Selling and Renting

Each of the examples above are ways that the land is being used in the fully realized version of the metaverse. Moreover, though the landowner may be the entity who creates the venue in some cases, landowners might rent their parcel to another player to allow them to set up and operate the venue, having their rental agreement secured by a smart contract. This rental agreement would allow revenue generated by the land to be shared between those on the contract.

Land sales at this point in the project's life would also include the sale of buildings and venues built on the land. Once work is applied to a parcel to improve its utility, the expected value will increase.
